About Our Japan Deluxe Tour

Japan Deluxe Tour Package from Travel Oriented Inc Reviewed Day by Day

Our traveling team (from Lt to Rt) My wife, me, mom, and sisterIn September 2008, four of us (My wife, sister, and mother) took a trip to Japan and booked our tour package through a company called Travel Oriented. At the time the tour package was called “Japan Deluxe Tour Package”, but at the time of building of this site (sorry it’s 2 years late) they no longer have this exact tour. Looking on their site at www.japandeluxetour.com, the new package deals have taken only the “best” part of our tour and added more interesting tourist locations to visit (like the Ninja villiage and Sumo Museum).

Would we recommend this package? Absolutely! Others on our tour were also pleased with the overall tour too.

Check out the day by day commentary video/slideshow on the home page on how each day progressed through our trip. Our tour guide was phenomenal and spoke very clearly. At the time, our trip cost around $2500 per person (including roundtrip airfare). It’s a bit more today than it was back then (probably due to fuel costs) but that’s to be expected after 2 years have passed. We live in California and flew out of Los Angeles International Airport and extended our trip after the tour package was over by flying to Northern Japan to visit relatives.

The only negative I heard from others on the trip was that the food was a little “too authentic” for them for 5 days straight. Some of the others were dying for a meat and potatoes meal. NO SKIMPING was done on our meals. We were fed high quality REAL Japanese food throughout the trip. Being Japanese and raised on rice, I was in heaven.

I give this tour 5 out of 5 rating overall. You’ll come away feeling you’ve really experienced a lot of the culture and history of such a beautiful country.

If you’ve taken this tour before, PLEASE add your comments to help others make an educated decision about this tour package.

Got questions? Add those too! I’ll do my best to answer them as quickly as possible.

HAVE a GREAT trip!

Our First Day on Our Japan Deluxe Tour Package

Our first full day in Japan with our tour group took us to a variety of well known historical landmarks. We got to see the oldest Bonsai Tree, the Imperial Palace, and the Asakusa temple . In this video we also recap about our flight on Korean Air. It was comfortable and the food was very good for those of you that like Korean Cuisine. The cost savings of flying on Korean Air versus Japan Airline was well worth it, $400 savings for each of us. Continue reading Japan Deluxe Tour Package – Our First Full Day Tour Review Part 1 of 2

Day 1 touring Japan on the Deluxe Tour Package (continued)

The Ginza drive through wasn’t much, but Asakusa was interesting. There were so many different “traditions” and rituals that people believe in for healing and health. Fortunes are a common novelty, and the shopping is fun.

Our lunch was very traditional and high quality. Continue reading Japan Deluxe Tour Package – Our First Full Day Tour Review Part 2 of 2

Day 3 of our Japan Deluxe Tour Package

We got our wakeup call at 7am to head out to Mount Fuji, one of Japan’s most famous landmarks. It was a long bus ride to the mountain (about 2.5 hours) and the day was very cloudy. The fog on the mountain rolls in and out, so within minutes of getting there it got VERY foggy. Unfortunately Continue reading Japan Tour Package Review – Day 3
