Japan Deluxe Tour Package Review – Day 4

Japan Tour Package Review – Day 4

Day 4 has a lot of traveling done on the bus. We were able to see some very cool sites and were glad that the bus was comfortable for such a long day on the road. We started the day leaving from the Hotel Resorpia Hakone and caught a BEAUTIFUL view of Mount Fuji on the way down. This short picture taking opportunity really made my trip! The famous Mt. Fuji was an amazing site to see and within minutes of getting some nice pictures of it, the cloud cover came in and it couldn’t be seen.
After a few hours in the bus, we stopped to watch a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony at a tea plantation. The presentation was shortened for time, but the idea was to have us see how much the process is about precision and care in the way the tea is served. The location also had a nice garden for pictures and a Tea Museum. Our sampling of the tea was very strong, but tasty.
We had a long stretch to drive once again to our next destination, so we stopped at a restaurant along the way for lunch. Again, the food was very traditional and of great quality, but I noticed that others who were not used to Japanese food started to eat less and less. This stop had shops below that served other food assortments and snacks which seemed to be popular for those who couldn’t eat.
Back on the bus for another long drive (this time due to road construction traffic) before we got to Nara. Nara had a cool park/temple where deer roam freely amongst us humans. You can feed them if you wish, but they can start to get rude if you don’t do it quickly enough. Among lots of teenage school children, we walked around and went into an ENORMOUS Buddhist temple that had a VERY large statue of Buddha enclosed in the building.
After another 90 minutes driving, we ended up in Kyoto for dinner and to check in to our hotel.
